Brazilian Beefsteak

This recipe is from Woman’s Day Magazine 1979.
Makes 6 servings
This is a great dish, and quick to make when you want to serve a good meal after a long day at work. Enjoy your meal…Colleen

1/4 c  all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
½ tsp  freshly ground black pepper
4 Tbs  peanut oil
2 pounds  beef round steak, sliced 3/4 inch thick
3/4 c  chopped onion
3/4 c  broccoli flowers cut in 1/2
1 ½  c  solid pack tomatoes
1 c  beef broth
½ c peanut butter
Hot fluffy rice.

Mix flour with salt and pepper, coat meat with this mixture. Heat oil in large skillet. Brown meat on both sides. Remove meat and cook onion and broccoli  until tender but not browned, about 5 minutes. Return meat to skillet. Add tomatoes and broth. Cover and cook over low heat for  15 minutes. Stir in peanut butter. Continue cooking15 minutes, or until meat is tender. Serve with rice.
