One of the hidden treasure troves of yummy recipes I have used over the years have been recipe books created by the women of church organizations. These recipes are usually those tried and true recipes, that countless families have enjoyed over the years. One that I have taken to many church dinners, and potluck affairs is this one. It is one your kids can help make, and the family will enjoy.
Peach Cobbler

2 quarts canned peaches
1 yellow cake mix
1 cube butter
3/4 cup chopped nuts
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9X13 inch pan. Dump peaches and juice into bottom of pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of peaches. Slice butter into thin pieces, and place on top of cake mix. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 1 hour.
This is wonderfully simple, and if you let your kids do this, there will be smiles from all, as they present their dessert. Make a family memory moment even more meaningful!
