Chicken And Biscuits
Ingredients:
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups heavy cream
1 tsp garlic (granulated) powder
1/4 tsp onion(granulated) powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground pepper
juice of 1 lemon
3 tsp sherry
3 cups pulled apart chicken or turkey
2 cups each frozen peas, carrots, and corn
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (OPTIONAL)
Directions :
Melt butter in pan(medium heat). Stir in flour until smooth( Remove pan from heat). Add broth, cream, garlic, onion powder, salt and pepper. Mix until thickened over medium heat. Stir in chicken(turkey), peas, corn, carrots, and optional mushrooms. Cook about 5 minutes, add sherry. Cook another 5 minutes. Add lemon juice and cook another 10-15 minutes, until vegetables are completely cooked. Serve on top of biscuits.
This makes great left overs, and freezes well. Happy eating!!
